The PMC Guild of Australia-New Zealand is delighted to announce that the Visiting Artist program from 2007 will be offered again in 2008 program. This program has been created to allow artists around the country to have access to International artists in a teaching environment. The Guild's aim is to bring a new artist to Australia each year for our members with planning already underway for 2009.
It is with great excitement and pleasure that the PMC Guild Aus/NZ announces that our visiting artist for 2008 will be the brilliant Metalwork and Glass Artist, Barbara Becker Simon from the USA. This year's program will see the Guild work closely with Glass Bead Makers groups around Australia, allowing attendees at workshops to access her complete range of skills. Workshops covering glass, metal clay and a combined glass and metal clay class will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane between October-November 2008.
If last year's tour by Robert Dancik is anything to go by, the program will once again be a resounding success with demand far outweighing availability in many venues. Guild members will have advance notice of the workshops, another reason to ensure your membership is up to date including your email address.
