Tim McCreight - 2011

The PMC Guild of Australia & New Zealand is delighted to have renowned goldsmith Tim  McCreight  as our visiting artist for 2011. Tim has been working with Metal Clay for over 15 years and brings with him a veritable treasure trove of ideas, skills, & techniques to share with our members and some lucky members of the general public.

Tim, who holds a BA & MFA, is a talented artist and academic best known for his publications (more than twenty) which are used extensively as textbooks throughout the world of Metalsmithing. His publishing company, Brynmorgen publishes outstanding texts from various artists as well as Tim's own publications.

He is a past president of SNAG and the PMC Guild and has served on the boards of Haystack and the American Craft Council. Tim currently serves as the Communications Director for the PMC Guid International.

 

  

Hadar Jacobson - 2009
Hadar's unique style is readily identifiable and over years of experience, she has explored and developed many innovative metal clay techniques, such as Flexible Clay.
Barbara Becker Simon - 2008
Barbara has been a jeweller for over thirty-five years and a glass bead artist since 1996. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in metalwork and jewellery from the University of Wisconsin. Barbara has been working with PMC for almost 10 years and has won numerous awards, and her work graces the pages of many books on the subjects of metal clay & lampworking, with articles regularly appearing in Lapidary Journal, Art Jewellery and Studio PMC magazines. Her speciality of Hollow Core Vessels is one class that she will be teaching.
Robert Dancik - 2007
Robert Dancik holds a Masters degree in sculpture and a BA in fine art and has been an artist/teacher for more than 30 years. He has taught people from kindergarten to graduate school while exhibiting his jewellery and sculpture in museums and galleries across the US and in Europe and Japan. He regularly teaches workshops at art centres in the US in the U.K. and France.
