Classes FAQ

Do I need to take a class to learn to use PMC?

No, many people learn by experimenting with the material. There are several books and many videotapes available that will provide the information you need. In fact on this very website you'll find short video clips, a free instruction booklet, and lots of tips. Of course no amount of printed information can take the place of the interaction with a good teacher and the stimulating environment of a classroom or workshop.

How long is a PMC class?

One of the great things about PMC is how quickly it can be shown and worked. PMC classes can be as short as a half day, though some workshops run for as long as a week. A class that meets once a week for a month or two offers time to get answers in class, then work with that information on your own time during the week until the next class.

What if I want to teach a PMC class?

Anyone who feels qualified can teach a class. There is no formal requirement to offer a class, though the Guild oversees a Certification programme and highly recommends this for prospective teachers. All member teachers are invited to post information about PMC classes on this web site.

Will the PMC Guild send a teacher to my town to teach?

The Guild does not have the resources to do this, but we do work with local Chapters to arrange guest artists and workshops.
